SSM Health Care of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Facility

8/16/08

Groundbreaking for the new St. Mary's Health Center is scheduled for August 28th. Expected to be half the size of the St. Mary's emergency room in Madison, the building will cost 6 million dollars to build and will be 13,500 square feet. Construction will begin soon after the groundbreaking and the facility is expected to be open in March of 2009. This will be a welcome addition to the city of Sun Prairie since the nearest hospital is many mile and minutes away, right now. SSM says that eventually, within ten years, the site could include a full inpatient hospital.

The planned emergency facility will have ten treatment bays, a CT scanner, X-ray imaging lab and an ambulance garage.
