Jimmy the Groundhog, Sun Prairie's famous weatherman will make the annual Groundhog Day prognostication on Tuesday, February 2nd at 7:10 a.m., Cannery Square Plaze downtown Sun Prairie. Sweet Corn Festival - August 18 - 21 2011

Sun Prairie, Wisconsin will host the annual Sweet Corn Festival Thursday, August 18 through Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Angell Park, near the intersection of Highway 19 and Highway N.

The Sweet Corn Festival starts on Thursday but, if you want to actually eat Sweet Corn, you have to come back on Saturday and Sunday between Noon and 7 p.m. Admission is only $1 and a "tote" of sweet corn is $6, hot or uncooked. Single ears are $2 each. Thursday features game booths, food stands, beer tent and carnival. Friday night is the same plus Helicopter rides, mini-golf, bingo and live music by Random Maxx. Saturday will feature a craft show which opens at 11:30 a.m. as well as a petting zoo, Kiddie Korner, paintless paint ball, afternoon and evening live entertainment. Sunday evening ends with rock and roll by "Left on Sunset"
