The East side store is 60,700 square feet and replaces the Pick and Save store at 2001 McCoy Road.

Copps Food Store on Highway 19 and Highway C in Sun Prairie first opened up in March of 2007. It is a 60,000-square-foot store with a large selection of many different foods.
It was a welcome addition to the residents of the West side of Sun Prairie. It is a very nice modern grocery store that has long been wanted in the area. It looks like it will have competition soon, though, as the Target Super Store just got approval from the Sun Praire Planning Commision. Super Target, which includes a full grocery store, plans to be open in Spring or Summer of 2008. The Woodman's Store also has property almost "kiddiecorner" from the Target, on Highway C on the East side and just South of Brooks Drive, that it has said that it was going to soon submit plans to build on. Woodman's has 11 stores and is building its 12th store in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek. We may go from no stores close by to a very nice grocery store for every day of the week before you know it.

On August 28th, 2007, the Sun Prairie Planning Commision Staff recommended and the Commision approved conditional approval to allow a 6,130 square foot commercial building with a drive thru lane on property located at the northeast corner of N. Grand Avenue and Ironwood Drive.
There is some new construction going on in the vicinity of the new Copps Grocery store.
Right across the street from Copps, on the West side of Highway C, their is a new Walgreens Store being built.

The new Walgreens in Sun Prairie, on Hwy C, is now open for business.
